Huawei is a leader in the China market

The Chinese smartphone market closed the fourth quarter of 2019, down by 15 percent compared to the third quarter. over the course of a 3-month period, 85.3 million smartphones were sold in the country. overall sales for 2019 also saw a 7% decline. A total of 369 million smartphones were sold on the market year-round.
The relatively weak interest in 5G devices, coupled with a slowdown in smartphone sales with 4G support, was described as the reason for market decline.

On a company basis, Huawei was found to expand his dominance. Huawei reached a total of 33.3 million units in the Chinese market and expanded its market share to 39%. That share was 29.8 per cent in the same period last year.



Huawei's closest competitor made 14 million shipments. Oppo's market share declined in the fourth quarter of 2018. the company closed the last quarter of 2019 with a market share of 16.4%, and last year's market share was 18.6%.

In third place, Vivo was in the country, with a sales of 13.1 million units and a market share of 15.4%.

In the fourth place on the list, Apple, which signed 10.1 million units of sales, was positioned. Apple's market share was 11.8%. During the same period last year, the company's market share in China was 18.4%.



Xiaomi became the name behind Apple. In the fourth quarter, the total market share of 9.5 million units sold is 8.1 percent.

According to the chart, Huawei was the only company to increase its annual growth.

Canalys also released a report on 5G sales in China. According to this report, Huawei also received the biggest share in the 5G leadership pass. In 2019, a total of 8.9 million 5G supported phones were sold in China. Huawei's share in this market is 78%.
